Want to take your bike with you on the bus, Trolley, SPRINTER, or COASTER? No problem and no additional fare required. Just follow these easy guidelines:

Buses

Most MTS and BREEZE  buses are equipped with folding bike racks at the front of the bus. Each rack holds two bikes. Feel free to ask the driver for instructions if you don’t know how to use the rack. Remember, bikes are not allowed inside the bus. On BREEZE buses, bikes may not weigh more than 55 pounds each.

Trolley

Bikes are allowed on the Trolley anytime. On the new low-floor Trolleys, you must enter in the middle of the car. Two bikes per Trolley car are permitted during most hours, with the exception of the peak commute hours when only one bike per car is permitted. Please stand with your bike for the duration of the ride.

COASTER

Each COASTER car is equipped with straps to secure up to four bikes at any time. Simply roll your bike on, strap it down in the provided space, and find a seat!

SPRINTER

Metrolink

Bikes are allowed on Metrolink trains if space is available; up to three bikes can fit in each train car. Bikes must be secured with Velcro straps, which are located on the first level at the end opposite the restroom. Metrolink now operates new Bike Cars to accommodate more bikes on select trains. The special bike cars are designed to hold 18 bikes on the lower level. For more information visit metrolinktrains.com.

Amtrak

Bikes must be stored in the designated racks within the body of certain train cars. Amtrak requests that bike passengers make reservations in advance through a Quik-Trak kiosk, online at Amtrak.com, or by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL.
