National Rideshare Week is October 3-7. Rather than driving alone, choose a carpool, vanpool, transit, bike, or walk commute and get there together! Save money; go green; and socialize, work, rest, read, or text while someone else drives.

Employers. October is Rideshare Month, when we celebrate the many benefits of commute alternatives. Eighty-three employers, representing more than 143,000 employees are participating in the Rideshare 2016 Corporate Challenge. These employers will support transportation, parking, or environmental/green goals by encouraging employees to choose alternative commutes. Each day an employee logs an eligible trip in the iCommute TripTracker tool, they will earn one point for their employers.

The winning employer in each size category will receive recognition in a print ad in a regional newspaper, on iCommute social media, and on the iCommute website, as well as a commemorative plaque, a bagel breakfast, and mention in a SANDAG press release. Employer registration for the Rideshare 2016 Corporate Challenge closed on September 27.
